As per the title really. I'm finding the mouse is becoming the limiting factor now in photoshop. I don't really want to spend the earth (<£100) but I don't mind looking to ebay for a second hand unit. The Wacom Bamboo gets good feedback despite it's small size and target market.

Wacom Bamboo! Got one at work, even though they are a bit small they do the job nicely. Also use a wacom at home, older model though and have had it for years (still works perfectly). So, in conclusion, get a wacom smile

Same here smile
Use an A5 Wacom ('Graphire' iirc) for everything apart from gaming, have done for years.

I'd check which Wacom fits into your budget and go with that - the Bamboo setup looks pretty good smile

Can take a few days to properly accustom yourself to using a tablet, but once you do I'm sure you won't want to use a mouse for photoshop again smile

Cheers.

I have the white bamboo A5, brought it off a mate for £25, BARGIN!!!! its a nice bit of kit but I still use my mouse more if not instead of it. I have a Razer Copperhead mouse so I get very good response. If I had a bigger one if not the LCD one I reckon I would use it all the time.

I've wondered about buying an A4 tablet before but came to the conclusion that it'd be a bit too arm-wavey (its a technical term) for general use.

I have a friend who uses an A6 wacom for working with photoshop, illustrator, flash, etc.. and prefers it to the larger tablets.

Guess that's why they make them in different sizes biggrin

Cheers.

I ended up slightly busting my budget and buying a nearly new Wacom Intuos3 A5 Wide off ebay.

Can't wait to have a play biggrin
