HI just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with the vw fixed cost maintenance/ service scheme.

i know vw services can be quite expensive so just wondering if this is worth it, would like to hear good and bad reviews please.

can anyone confirm if the vw roadside assistance is included with it, cant seem to find any info on it.

i have 2 options, maintenance and service for £20 month for 3 years

or the above plus tyres for £35 month for 3 years.

look forward to hearing your views

thanks

Is it new? The warranty will cover anything that brakes, so the maintenacne bit is a waste of cash

Signed up to their previous scheme last year, fixed fee for 30K miles or 3 years.
First annual service - no (extra) charge.
So just like a company car, car gets serviced and nothing on the visa card.

Need more details.

What does maintenance/service actually cover? Does it cover brakes and other consumables?

Tyres - I bet they stipulate that they only cover illegal tyres and treated separately. i.e. if 1 tyre is at 1.5mm and another at 2mm will they change BOTH at the same time? Will they use budget tyres only? Are there limited "claims" per year? i.e. if you wear tyres every 6 months, will they cover.

Other conditions that may be stipulated such as cover is only valid if you do ALL the work they "recommend" (i.e. including bits you do have to pay for, i.e. new brakes at full non discounted price etc.).

yes it does cover brakes and things like windscreen wipers remote control batteries, full rac cover for 3 years aswell all services and mot.

i may leave the tyre option though and sort that myself, as a bit of shopping around can get good prices on tyres.

Our passat is just over 2 years old and so far both annual services completed with nothing for us to pay. the monthly payments agreed up front have covered everything.

being a cynic maybe they didn't find anything extra that needed doing because they wouldn't make on it.
