Ideas for prizes needed!

I am running a film club for a group of students in my school next year. The finished result will be 3 or 4 'Short films' that the students will have produced themselves.

I need some ideas for prizes. A decent first prize, a good second prize and a token third prize. Ideally it needs to

1. Be something to do with film/film making
2. Something they can share as a group and critically;
3. Something that will excite them enough to put 120% of their effort into making something decent.

Max budget for all prizes is £150.

I can't really think of anything that meets this criteria. Over to you!

For the 1st prize, maybe try and arrange a local cinema to screen the winning film for the group.

Good idea. However, with the new legislation coming in next September I doubt I would be able to arrange the trip - that and their short films will only be 2-3 minutes long I suspect!

On that note is it not discriminatory to award the better person a prize. It’s not fair on the people with less talent/effort

1.How about a years pass to the cinema
2.Cinema tickets
3. a DVD of your choice.

Contact Film / TV studio's, Mention its for prizes, ask if the winning students can sit behind the scenes whilst filming..

Introduce them to the Directors & Producers etc, have a studio tour etc.

Use the money for transport, accomodation and Beer.
