The short answer is money, lots of it and don't discount the location. Most obvious is we don't have a circuit with the same topography and weather. The large number of cameras, helicopters and onboard facilities, is due to the fact every facet of the production is sponsored. Even down to the replays being named after a sponsor. So there is huge investment directly in the production. The company that created the onboard cameras also supplied NASCAR with the same equipment, without doubt one of the top three companies in the World. Having seen the equipment set up, at Bathurst, up close, it's safe to say, they spend a lot of time on it, which means they have lots of money. Which they spend very wisely. The results speak for themselves.

In fact, Channel 7 invented the onboard camera spcifically for this race.
