Trivial Delights

[DIW35]

My trusty (but very cheap and cheerful) tripod has finally fallen apart, and I have just ordered a new one.

Now I know that in the greater scheme of things, a tripod is not up there with a new camera or even a new lens, but my old tripod must be 30+ years old and, for reasons I can't explain, I'm really, really excited about the new one turning up for me to have a play with.

Just got me thinking, are there any relatively trivial photography items that you've bought that have got you fired up?

I'd go for my £15 (iirc) remote flash trigger off Ebay. I've not actually used it that much, but it was certainly fun to look forward to, and a useful thing to have in the bag.
