Why Not? I run a 2.9 in my Taz Racer but using triple Webers rather than injection. It gives a bit more than a standard 2.8 wink

Hey only jesting - There was a really nice consul with a cossie 2.9 32v running megasquirt a few years ago, it has to be said that the engine was the ONLY good thing about those pig ugly Scorpio's

Was trying to persuade my father to buy en engine-less Scimitar GTE and a Scorpio Utima as a little "weekend project", unfortunately has wasn't having any of it biggrin

I know you were only joking. wink

I've put a couple of Capri Essex engines into MK3 Cortinas in the past, but can't see the point in putting the 2.9 into anything heavier than that if one is after a Q car classic.

Then there is the 700+bhp MK2 Granada of course...saw it at Elvington last year, blowing off all-comers from the Rice burning brigade. cloud9

Now that's impressive, 5.3 valves per cylinder. Fitting those must have been a squeeze even with a big hammer.
