ICE Link Plus with CD Boost in 2004 MCS
Discussion
Hi All,
My wife owns a 2004 MCS Cab with CD Boost and HK.
I have just bought an ICE Link Plus from eBay and installed it today with relative ease.
The music can be heard through the stereo no problem and I can skip forward and backward between tracks.
However, no text is displayed on the headunit display. The '6' button does not enter the ICE Link menu and infact has no effect. So I am unable to select artist, album, etc. Additionally because the iPod is attached to an accessory I cannot control the music from there either.
Does anybody know if this is to be expected with the CD Boost radio in the Mini or could a firmware upgrade help?
I have the same installation with a Business CD headunit in my M3 CSL and it works really well. I can select artists and albums to play using the '6' button. Text is displayed etc.
Any help would be appreciated. It is not really useable right now.

Hi
I had similar problems to you on our 2004 MCS (which we no longer own). I never got to the bottom of the problems so simply left as it was originally installed. There were some threads on mini2.com which offered some help, but it never solved the problems I had (the same as yours!!)
Sorry I cannot offer more help but it is a PITA.
