Hi Gang,

Took Delivery of new VXR8 yesterday from Slaters at Colwyn Bay

Excellent care and service from the dealer and from the Tracker company

Got it home and washed it !! My view has always been that you can't tell

a car's paint finish until you wash and dry it yourself by hand !!!

What metal are the stock exhaust trims made of ? Looks like alloy to me and how do you clean them/shine them ?

Thanks

Matilda

wavey and congrats on your purchase. Excellent choice My answer to your question is to get the Wortec Switchable exhaust fitted. The pipes are very shiny to start with and take very little to keep shiny with Autosol. I wouldn't know how to do the stock pipes. Aren't the like brushed matt metal?
Did i mention the Wortec pipes make you car sound ing awesomeyes

if like the monaro then they'll be stainless on the stock exhaust so choose polish of choice. according to some on here theres little to be gained other than noise by changing from stock until you make some significant mods to the power levels unlike the monaro which was somewhat strangled by the stock exhaust.
