Well, we seem to have time to start looking at how things have been done so far by "others", so I decided to do this. 
this week. 
So, myself and Ed (Chesney Hawkes) pulled it as far as here
.
And within about 6 careful hours got ourselves to this position
Some interesting observations along the way, and confirmation (for what it's worth that the "rumour" of Arrow rods and cast pistons appears to be correct. Mind bogglingly crazy but still correct. :-o
More to follow as we move forward, but a path forward is now easier to plot. :-)

Six hours
you should have read the manual and positioned your spanners in the same workshop its four hours max one man for an engine out even with probs with the exhaust manifolds and you left the turbos and maifolds on the car on the rear turbo why did you take the rear cam cover of first all that crap that can fall in, you wernt looking for a bent valve where you 
or did you loose a compressor wheel somewhereHave fun and remember JNM and Roush have of the shelf proven tunning solutions that work

Haha, the car was in perfect running order before disassembly, other than the fact it needs a new radiator.
The engine is also now completely stripped too.
Not sure which "book" those times were from, but Noble say 18 hours to change a clutch!
We're not conducting a repair either, we're investigating so it's being deliberately paced with that in mind.
Custom forged pistons will be ordered on Monday, and Tilton can come up now and start working out a stronger clutch capable of holding the torque I am planning on putting through it.
