i was bussy with connecting the tubes for the wipers when i saw this...
looks like the airpressure senor is not connected to the airbox...
is this right??

other stupid question... what difference should i notice afterwards??

Yep Barometric pressure sensor. Don't think you'll notice any difference in running though.

too bad that i won't notice any differnce
couse recently i was suprised that a ferrari 328 GTB could hold up with me... well, more or less

I don't have that on mine.

Are they on later cars only or something like that?

Then again maybe it's somewhere else on my car.

well, this should be the air pressure senor connection for the ECU if i am not misstaken

just found this one as well, by the way it is left side N/S airbox

to be honest i check the workshop manuel and it looks like it is the air pressure senor connection for the ECU...
might be that i have less pops and bangs now... hope not

In Theory!

The differential air pressure between the air box and the outside can be used to roughly determine the mass air flow for the fuelling.
I would suspect that with this disconnected you would run on the weaker edge of the fuelling map.
Especially when you hit the gas and suddenly reduce the air box pressure.
Bit like an electronic accelerator pump?

All this is just me theorising, but many years ago I had the pleasure to be taught at College by someone who was an electronic engineer for the first Bosch system.
So perhaps TVR were tweaking the maps and this was one of the mods on later cars?

my cerb is from 1997... would not call that later car.

but might be that it is a later mod, i have no idea

I have an early '97 and have that connection, was told it was the air pressure sensor for the ECU too. Never really noticed much difference in running with it disconnected, but always leave it connected just in case.
