Hi Chaps, don't often post much on the Alfa section, shows how reliable it is wink but I've decided the air con needs recharging. I know Kwik Fit offer a service for £45 which sounds like it's worth a punt, but I wondered if it's the sort of thing that really needs a specialist to look at it and if so, does anyone have any recommendations in the Maidenhead, Taplow, Reading area? smile Rich...

Alfa Aid as a non franchised specialist in Maidenhead or SGT in Taplow would be worth considering.

If you have a good local Kwik Fit, I can't really see that being an issue.

Alfa Aid are competent, if expensive (based on previous bills I saw for my last GTV V6). Worth a call though smile

I would try Alfa Aid or an aircon specialist.
Not used SGT for about 10 years, they used to be really really good but i couldn't afford their prices. That all may have changed by now.

Please just don't let Kwik Fit near it! After disasters with exhausts and tracking (at more than one branch) I just won't touch them any more. Their last quote for tyres I just laughed and walked out.

Alfa Aid did my last exhaust, a stainless steel back box was cheaper than the quote for a standard part from Kwik Fit by £100, the last nail in Kwik Fit's coffin for me.
