Mark300zx posted about his Daytona SNA225P1 here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I replied asking him if he'd used the seller he linked to but haven't had a reply, in the meantime my trusty automatic Apogaum "Breitling for Bentley" has packed up so I need a new daily watch until I can save up for the real thing.

I really like the one linked to by Mark300zx but I'm concerned about buying anything from Hong Kong, via eBay and without a box, it just screams "replica" despite their assurances of authenticity. So with this in mind I'm happy to pay a bit more to get one in the UK.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a trusted supplier that still offers a bit of a saving over RRP? I've found a few sites selling them for ~£165 but their sites don't fill me with confidence so I was hoping for some suggestions from the experts here smile

Finally does anyone have any idea how long the strap is when new? Just wondering if I'll need to think about getting extra links put in like usual, hate getting a watch and then having to send it off for a week when I want to wear it!

I'm done now, sorry for the ramble.

Forgot to say, I'm also open to suggestions for similar watches for under £200 if anyone has any ideas - I like a quite large chronograph with metal strap, my dream watch is this:

My Apogaum looked like this but it had the added appeal of turning my arm green, I'm not too fussed about retaining that "feature" smile

Did you ever get this watch in the end? Whilst I wait for the perfect graduation watch to come up I'm looking for a daily beater and this looks great in the pics. What are your thoughts on it? Wrist pics?

Or other similar suggestions from anyone?
I am also looking at the Tissot PRC200 but really wish it was an auto!

I got the bottom one from Argos, really like it for a daily watch - might get a few others now and work up to the Breitling slowly smile

I was asking after the SNA225 originally.

How do you find the Rotary? Build quality etc. A friend of mine really wants a Daytona so I thought I'd get him a Rotary 'Daytona' for his birthday as a joke.

The actual watch part has a good weight to it and seems well built, the strap is just a little bit lightweight and feels quite cheap despite it being nicely put together. For the money it's spot on though IMO.
