Didn't Pete Waterman build one which was the "Best"


I know he owned the scotsman among many others and kept them in crewe.

Wow Beaconscot! I went there loads when I was little, used to follow certain trains around the place, it's pretty big!

I went there loads too. It was really good as i remember. Always way better then theme parks, the little villages where stupendous!

I might visit that again one day with my son.

Yup - that's reportedly the largest in the world - in the Hafencity district of Hamburg.

Been a couple of times - it's impressive! They're building a miniature airport in there at the moment...

Surely the best is all about quality, not quantity!
Unfortunately No video on the site, but Pendon Museum houses the most meticulously modelled railway in the world.
Everything seen so far in this thread is crude by comparison. Well worth a visit.
