I was watching Sky news this morning whilst stumbling through the normal kids/breakfast/shoes etc. and saw footage of our beloved PM visiting the troops in Afghanistan.

Our esteemed leader was greeted by an RSM who saluted him before shaking his hand.

My question is should the PM be saluted by the military? As I understood it, it is the Queens commission that is saluted and brown is not ex military.

Maybe the RSM was just trying to do his bit by attempting to indicate to any snipers that here was a target worthy of a 7.62mm

Like most things he'd manage to avoid the consequences though!

There's probably more chance of him taking a 5.56mm - the Insurgents don't know him like we do whistle

Think Privy Councillors are supposed to be saluted hence salutes for the PM.
