Bizarre question, but I have been offered at a very good price a new Big Red calliper- the front right.

Obviously not any good on its own, so does anyone have a left hand front calliper I can buy?? I cannot imagine the breakers selling me just one...

William,,,do yourself a favour and get the part number, there are big reds fitted to different models.
If you do not get a matching pair you may find the car pulls violently to one side under heavy braking. If this does not concern you then just buy some red caliper paint and fit anything

Good point, Paul. The part number of the one I've been offered is:

993.351.422.20.

Hmmn .... that's not the TT/RS part - that's 426 10.

Shows as M339 or 493 part - seems to be associated with 4WD TTB0MK.

HTH, cheers, Maurice

This is the rhs from memory, to get the lhs order 993.351.421.20 direct from your local OPC and haggle yourself a decent discount, they list at around £300+VAT but you should get it for £300 all in if you are determined enough.

I am impressed. Mr Belton - anyone who can recall Porsche part numbers from memory surely needs recognition !

Anorak, anyone?

I probably need to get out more, too, but I did check the part number and posted the TT / RS part number. Shown as
993 351 425 10 LH
993 351 426 10 rh
Colin is correct in his pairing of the LHS / RHS part nos, but that is standard practice for all paired parts. Are you sure about that caliper being an alternate TT / RS part, 9M??

Don't want to pay for faux parts, do we?

Cheers, Maurice

I did not check the part number against type, only commented on what is its matching part for the other side.

I do know that the 965 3.6 turbo caliper updates to the 993 Turbo unit which is the same as the 993RS. If there is a doubt as to what the caliper is off, call your OPC parts man and get him to confirm the fitment from the PET system, let's face it, it's about time they earned their living as well!
