Quite a story, have you tried the Star or Mail, im sure you're looking at thousands for a story as dramatic as this. Can you twist it a bit? Was the checkout operative an immigrant? Can the Mail twist it into the governments fault?

Whilst its petty, if you could carry on writing letters and ensure that Tesco spend as much time and money as possible on this issue, that would be ace.

Best thread ever tbh. Bonus points for getting the name of one of the worlds largest retailers wrong and being the nemesis to anything vaguely interesting.

That can't even be worthy of a 0/10. You call it a rant, so I feel I should rate it, but, well, it really wasn't!!

  • swearing - NOPE
  • insulting the person directly involved - NOPE
  • more swearing - NOPE
  • insulting an entire race/nation - NOPE
  • more swearing - NOPE
  • a random collection of words that insult people (e.g. Gammon Slipper etc!! hehe) - NOPE
  • yet more swearing - NOPE
  • threatening to "learn them" - NOPE
  • threatening to kill them (usually in the face) - NOPE
  • threatening to kill an entire race/nation/type of peroson (again usually all in the face) - NOPE
  • yet more fking swearing you - NOPE
Not really a rant mate. Sorry

Oh, and HTH hehe

Cheers

Just sent this.... bunch of amatures!

I purchased a few items today from your Tesco Express in Shoreditch Road London receipt number xxxx at 13:33. I arrived back at work to notice that the mixed herbs I had purchased for £0.63p was not in my bag as packed by your staff.

I went back to Tesco's opposite my building at Bishopsgate when the lunchtime rush had passed to save the mile walk back to Shoreditch to rectify Tescos error.

Despite standing waiting for your staff to know what to do, they eventually were able to call the store and confirm that the mixed herbs had indeed been left behind, but unfortunately Bishopsgate were unable to handle the issue and advised that I had to walk back to Shoreditch an inconvenience to myself. What would the situation be should I have purchased an item say 100 miles away?

Temporarily I have purchased the same box of herbs for £0.61p receipt number xxxx at 15:41, but via a cash/voucher I would like to be refunded.
Blimey. The outrage.

Demand action now.

Agreed. The OP should listen to CVM's sage advice. Tesco have wilfully wasted your thyme and money. You'd have been completely justified to have tarragon round to a local store and have the item replaced - of given them the full Basil Fawlty treatment.

Certainly sounds like you've been exposed to something.
