VXR8 Strut brace

Hi

I have just upgraded from my beloved Monaro VXR to a VXR8 and although I have had a number of test drives I only noticed it has lost its strut brace in the engine compartment once I purchased the car.

I do not intend to track it but has anyone else noticed it is not there and any difference in the handling. The Pontiac G8GXP seems to have it fitted but I do not know about the HSV R8.
