Okay, this is probably the dullest question ever posted, but anyone had trouble with MP3 disc playback in their VXR8 ?

Mine just seems to reject the disc every time. I have saved as 'mastered' and tried copying with or without folders set up on the disc, and also without too much data on the disc. Disc's also play fine in other MP3 players so anyone had the same problem and found a solution?

There may be one or two that can help although as MP3 doesn't equal Brake Horse Power you may struggle a bit

My theory is that one MP3 disc weighs less than 6 normal discs, thereby reducing the weight of the vehicle by 15g and improving power to weight ratio.

Its all about performance (honest)

Ive made a few. Folders are ok etc. Just use old data cd format. Ive used 640Mb and 700Mb ones both work ok.
I use the built in Vista cd burn software. Make sure you close the cd off etc and burn it all at once.
I use rewriteables so I can just erase them and use them again. Are you using normal mp3's and not WMA etc?

Currently working my way through some Yale university lectures smile Hours of fun!

I copied some MP3's (BBC history - how not muscle car) onto an old re-writable CD (so old is was 4x only write speed (maybe that was the answer) - worked fine in the VXR8's player.

Thanks for input.smile
