My initial driving impression though is that the car is incredibly and inherently unsafe. Almost to the point where I feel legislation should be considered! Take the visibility - appalling! How on earth are you supposed to see anything with a huge grin that practically forces your eyes shut... Driving with due care and attention is extremely difficult when you are constantly crawling past shop windows or shiny cars to catch a glimpse of the reflection and admiring the sweep of the bonnet will make you go cross-eyed. All this is compounded by that NOISE, why make something sound better the faster you go! I think Mr Blunkett should be told

I now have to calm down get practical and make sure is secure and running right, so time to get the practical stuff like
spare bulbs (are those Xenon bulbs worth having)
roof latches (made prior to their fitting?)
hood cover (on order)
Cat1 alarm, disklok and rottweiler (do they fit in the boot?)
Possibly a session on a rolling road (in Bristol? suggestions please)
A throttle cable
and a partridge in a pear tree...

Just like to say - bit like an award speech this! thanks to Gadgit, top man and slightly mad to let the car go after spending all that time and effort on it (I did make sure he really really wanted to sell!). New or restored everything below the body, chassis, brakes, sussy, engine bits the lot!

Well Done sif.....Top Car....

1.Spare bulbs - YES, just so that you can see your lights are on..

2.Roof latches - As discussed Leven Shiney / Southco Black Plastic

3.Cat1 alarm, disklok and rottweiler(would scratch the leather) - What does your insurance require? Is it left out at night.?

4.Possibly a session on a rolling road - Did you have an engineer look at it? Have an engineer give it the once over so that he can inform you of any impending expense.

5.A throttle cable - Yes

6.And a partridge in a pear tree... - I wouldn't suggest it (beastiality and all that)

Please don't feel sorry for me!

I'm looking for me next project!

Not quite sure what yet, could well be another cut and shut job (only joking sif)!

Oh! he didn't have the hard top with the car as he wants a new roof, which to be fair, is what I would have done had I kept it. Needles to say if anyone wants it (it needs a bit of fitting) it will go to the highest bid, and I mean it. I'm not messing about with it.

I'm sure that Sif will go on and finish of the job properly after speeking with him, and look forward to regular shots of all the updates.

Good Luck,

gadgit.
