Morning all smile

Just put a deposit down on my first BMW, an e30 318 iS! Well chuffed with it, it means parting with my 106 Rallye, but I think its time to upgrade, I've always wanted a BMW, so I'm well chuffed!

Its a white 1990, H reg, 86k miles, and a good example!

I'll get pics when I pick the car up smile

Can't wait to get out there in it, just one question, do you leave the indicator stalk in the glovebox or just leave it at home to save weight? paperbagwink

Congratulations biggrin

In my old e30 I found it better to leave the entire glovebox at home as every I "got air" it dropped down and threw the contents all over the car.

I had an E30 318is back in 1993. It was a great car. I was very chuffed with it. They are pretty tail happy which isnt always a good thing. The performance is adequate. Very solid. Enjoy! I still miss mine!

Actually, I was impressed with the size of the glovebox, and the boot, was bigger than I imagined!

It's going to be a long few days before I can get it though frown

Congratulations. Post some pics when you have it. Nice cars and love the e30 shape, very pure soemhow and a better (IMO) than all 3 series shapes since.

- get your money back, it's a fake - real BMs don't have an indicator stalk, just the flasher for the headlamps... wink

Bugger, I knew it was too good to be true! Must be a bodykitted renault 21 or something... wink

Another reason I'm happy, £484 insurance, I'm only 20! Superb biggrin

Hopefully be able to pick it up tomorrow evening, and start enjoying BMW ownership properly!

318is are graet cars, a real mini-M3. I didn't have mine long as it ended up needing more work than I was prepared for. Would definately have another one day.

It is suprising how many that are sold though are not real 318is OR have had front and rear spoilers (etc) changed over the years so as to make them not look like a factory 318is E30.

Evening all smile

Just drove it back from Wokingham to the midlands, interesting first drive, in the wet lol, had a few moments where it caught me by surprise, but slowly getting used to the car and RWD in general smile

Will post up some pics tomorrow when she's had a good clean!
