fuel tank for iva?

Hi, I'm just panelling out my boot around my petrol tank (the cars a big hard topped coupe like a viper GTS), but then I wondered if ther was a requirement to seal off the tank from the cabin as I suppose it's effectively the same of it sloshing around on the back seats behind your head....not really any worse than in a 7 except the cabin is closed.

any ideas?
