As reported on a few of the other sites, it appears Mick Rogers put his MkIII Cortina 'Power Not Paint' car on it's roof at the 'Pod.

Looking at the pics the car is totalled, but a good cage enabled Mick to walk away with no injuries.

I feel mortified for him and can only guess how he feels, but I'm sure it won't be long before a new Matt-black MkIII Cortina with Cosworth power hits the strips.

Good luck Mick!

This is that Cosworth powered one? Remember the first time I saw that on the track about 5 years ago, very quick motor. Real shame but most important thing is that he is ok.

Great shame for such a showman. Glad to hear he is ok, that's the main thing.

Oddly enough, I never got to see the car run. I saw it sat around in the pits several times. Glad that he's OK, at least.

I did see the crash, I was helping a mate with his car in the pit lane near the end of the strip.
As it came over the finish line the back end was all over the place as if something was on the tyres. Then the car turned right and wheels dug into the track and sent the car into the air.I am glad to see he is alright. I dont think there was anything he could salvage from the car.
