I found a cat in my garden...
Discussion
Its looking really skinny like it hasn't eaten for ages. My garden has quite a high fence so it maybe to malnourished to escape. I've never seen it before this morning.
Its claws are quite long and it looks quite rough which leads me to believe its a stray.
I have given it some cooked bacon and that's all been eaten. It doesn't seem in any rush to escape/go home.
I'm going to buy some proper cat food in a bit. Should I ring the rspca?

That's how we acquired 1 of ours(the other was a rescue cat,who is sadly no longer with us).We found him hanging around with our other cat,he was skinny and nervous, but eventually he warmed to us,we got him checked to see if he was chipped, but he was'nt so that was that we've had boris 5 or 6 years now.

And here he is surfing PistonHeads

It's an easy choice:
1) Take it in, love it and look after it for life. My most affectionate cat was one that 'just turned up' - it chose me, not the other way round.
2) If (1) is not possible, take it to a good cat rescue centre (see Yellow Pages) - not just RSPCA but Cats Protection League and possibly other local ones.
It may have been dumped by pikeys, or left behind after a house move, or run away from home when they bought a Rottweiler/got a violent new stepfather... who knows? But it sounds like it needs help from somewhere and you're the first port of call.
