Help! Stereo codes...

I had the battery on my R129 changed last week courtesy of Mobilolife. I did not notice before the chap had driven away that removing the battery had caused the stereo to lock and require the input of a code. No problem I thought, just have a dig through my handbook, find the code card, input code and away we go. Except, of course, the code card was nowhere to be seen.

Does anybody know if there was a default code for Mercedes stereos in '01 or, if not, whether there is a way to unlock the stereo without the code- I assume that my MB dealer will be able to do this?

HI.. I have got a 01 Merc.... I think all will be different but you can try mine to see if it works Code No 13123

They're individual.

Your MB dealer should be able to do it for you no probs if you can't find the code yourself. Bad practice by Mobilo thou!

I am kind of relieved to report that the code offered above and the sample code in the stereo handbook did not work. Nevermind, it is off to be reprogrammed by the dealer next week.
