Looking for something nice and welcoming after a 400km drive, good secure parking, and not too far from Sant'Agata.

Any recommendations?

Hotel Torino in San Marino, the room with the stone balcony overlooking the ....well whole landscape. £90 and the managers daughter went to Glasgow Uni. Anyway, not exactly 5 mins away but believe me, you dont want to stay in Modena unless you want to get extremely lost. Bologne we stayed at also which seemed nice but it was literally a check in, sleep and check out. "the 3 ******" it was called, cant remember the last name.

There is a hotel about 5/10 mins from the factory, hoiliday inn or something, its near a corner as you come off a main carriageway. Anyway, really nothing around to do at all for miles. I would say stay at Bologne but if i had the choice, San Marino as it is beautiful too.

Don't stay anywhere near the factory - there really is nothing anywhere near! The only hotels within half an hour are comparable to Youth Hostels!!

And yes I do speak from (painful) experience...

We deliberately put you in a crap one Stu!! Andrew Go to the Ipoint hotel. Pretty functional unfortunately but clean with all the necessary facilities and only about 1 mile away. Car park is open but is not a problem round there. People are pretty used to seeing Lambos!

Whenever we've been, we've stopped in a friendly self catering place about 10 minutes away, at Castelefranco Emilia, which is a few miles from Modena.

Also stayed at Castelefranco Emilia. Hotel Acquila.

Not uber luxury, but comfortable and there's decent food to be had in the town IIRC (was a good 6yrs ago now though).

I have used the Real Fini in Modena a few times and been very happy. It does have an under ground car par.
Also Modena is a lovley place, a good restaurant is the Caffe Concerto in the Piazza Grande.
If you fancy a late night drink with girls dancing in your lap, apparently there is a club on the way back to the hotel cold The Shillings Club but I wouldnt know for sure!!!!!!
