Interesting thought this!

You never know What really needs doing on this sort of project.
Anyone out there has the body lifted and sections repaired, what would this cost?

Gadgit.

If a small hole was spotted in the chassis, then I'm assuming it was visible from underneath when on the ramps. Inevitably the chassis will be in a much worse state than would first appear. When water, stones, salt etc get thrown up at the chassis, some will manage to work its way between the body and the top of the chassis rails and settle there. Be prepared for a shock when the body comes off. ( I've just removed the body on my 92 S3c tonight.) Having said that the chassis is a relatively simple affair and wont be that difficult to repair. I will hopefully be making progress with my project, so if I make any useful discoveries I'll keep you posted. Good luck.
