hi
has anybody used one of these to replace the magnetic type in the door?

I replaced to one in my drivers door a few years back and it was a bit of a pain. Its a ford part.

They are only £10.00 from Maplin, or £5.00 on eBay

Can you really charge £5.00 for the connectors? I'd rather save the money and get the soldering iron out. yes

billy, can you remember how you fitted it? it looks a bit big to fit in door from pics on screen.

It doesn't fit in the door, it goes in the wing beside the lock. I removed the seat belt then pulled the door rubber seal out the way then managed to pull the cover out the way just enough to get in and have a play about. Would make the job easier if you remove the bottom half of the seat.

My one was not returning correctly so when going round a corner the door would open! same with yours?
