Audi TT Quattro 1.8 - Radio Problem & HEATED SEAT ON?

Just purchased a Audi TT Quattro 1.8 with a Audi concert radio which I can't seem to get working? It is NOT in safe mode & CD works fine. When you press scan, it lands on any station but you can only hear a quite crackle?
Any ideas please greatly appreciated?
Also HEATED SEAT APPEARS TO BE ON ALL THE TIME, ALTHOUGH I HAVE PRESSED DIAL & IT IS FULLY OFF (ANTICLOCKWISE)
