Griff and Chim hard top.. are they the same?

I think they are.. but can anyone confirm this?.. My mate has one but he's about 100 miles away.. that he'll let me have if I want it... I want to try the split roof thing on my Griff but don't want to mess up my existing roof... He's got one from an old Chimp... Are they the same part??

Sometimes takes some fiddling from one griff to another griff though...
Furthermore, the chimp roof often appears to be stuck fast and is rarely removed, despite the cavernous golf club repository in it's voluminous rear.

Obstensively the same but they were 'fettled' to fit each individual car, some fit perfectly without much effort.
