Any recommendations for some shorts?
I have proper lycra shorts with good padding that I wear some Gore waterproof outers on over the winter. I have some cheap baggies from Decathlon that I think are rubbish. So I would like a good pair of baggy shorts with good quality padding. Any recommendations welcomed!
thanks

I bought one of these off E-bay and IMO they dont fit very well,i distorted mine trying to make it fit correctly & gave up & threw it in the back of the garage.I did e-mail the seller with my thoughts but had no reply.they could be made so much better(IMO)

In contrast, I got one a while back, and it fits fine and looks good.

My one was a pretty good fit to be fair. No gaps around it, it could do with a touch of silicone on it to stick it down though really.

Nah, thats not blushing, just a reflection from your new interior

ps. did you have a chance to consider my question about the final drive ratio?
For instance mph per 1000 rpm.
Might consider it for a more 'relaxed' motorway cruise.

I don't know car well enough yet to be able to accurately commment on benefits or impact of final drive. Close ratio gear box is interesting though. Have to change to 1st gear on tight bends, 2nd gear when in 30 zones, realising that it is your senses that help you decide which gear to be in (and not your mph), it will obviously improve 0 - 60 as you can probably just use 1st to get to 60, hill starts need a load of revs.....

I am convinced of the benefits of a taller Ist and 2nd. I was wondering what dropping the revs in 5th would be like

  • Beware of cheap imitations*
I bought one of the originals off the said PHer and it fits like a condom, but looks better. Quality item.

I think the Fleabay ones were knocked up by someone jumping on the bandwagon trying to make a quick buck rolleyes

Either that or it splits when you use the knob too hard.

i agree, was a little bit of effort fitting, but isn't everything on the cerb as they're all slightly different. i did "thread" one of the bolts but the rest seems to be holding it. looks better than the plain leather which was ripping
