Having had the Tubi on my Gallardo for nearly 2 years now i thought i would go a step further and fit de cat pipes,i cannot belive the differance in sound it realy is like an f1 car complete with flames just not sure if its a step to far i will be doing a few miles over the weekend to make my mind up,not keen on the job of changing them back though it took most of the day to get the cats off.Any body on here done the same or heard a de catted gallardo if so what did you think of it.

team modena have switched to red cars for this year so there doesn't appear to be anything happening on the lambo side frown

Hi I have bought a tubi and the decat pipes and intend to fit this weekend. I also have had car about two years but on a OEM exhaust, have been thinking of changing for a long time. Bit the bullet and look forward to a vast change in the car from standard..heh heh..
I will let you know what i think once changed over!

Aye mate - I share your pain wink

You know they'd prepped the car just for that purpose? The side exit pipes weren't even subtle smile

Still - I guess that's the point.

The Diablo sounded great by the way - maybe we'll head to head again next year wink

How do you go on come the MOT?

Will it pass without them or do you have to re-fit them every year?

Also, doesn't it throw up a fault on the ECU?

Just curious.

Make sure you tell your insurers about the Tubi and decat, have an accident or fire without telling them and risk the consequences.

In effect a decat makes your car unroadworthy (non MOT'ble).

Don't want to sound doom and gloom because a decatted Gallardo is the nicest sounding car I've ever heard, but make sure you're covered (insurers will worm their way out paying out)

No ecu problems on pre 07 cars, mot could be a problem for some;).

Just got back from doing a prom run,had nothing but good coments about the exhaust sound, a friend followed me in his car and could not belive the sound or the flames, the more i use it the more i like it.
