Help, ideas needed

The OH has reminded me that his birthday is a couple of weeks away. He already has a car mag subscription out of me which I'll contintue to pay by DD but I'd rather actually have something to give him on the day.
Tickets for the PH show at the NEC aren't on sale yet, F1's already gone. I'd considered taking him to a banger racing event, but there's none regionally that weekend. Can anyone suggest anything else? Otherwise I'll just have to buy him books ... yet again. My budget's really not that great I'm afraid and I can't get to the shops.
I'd also be very grateful if you guys do not quote this post so I can delete later. Cheers.

Well, I can delete/edit my posts, so I can quote myself as much as I like.I did think that if I added the request it was probably an invitation for a bit of a ribbing.
And never mind, I think I've found something, and it's not books (thank god!).
Whilst I've managed to find something, I thought I'd try again to see if anyone has any inspiration for suitable inexpensive presents for car nuts.
Oh and I've also discovered that the Midlands Motor Show and MG Fest are both going to happen close to his birthday - would either of those be worth going to? I've had a quick look at the former's web site and it looks like you'd probably be round it in under an hour unless you were a big Kia/Ford/Hyundai fan.

How about a 'CG Lock' for his car? (If not already harnessed up.)
£20 or so if I recall. (There are cheaper sources than the official website.)
