Hi,

My insurance is due for renewal and this time there's a letter in with the renewal quote that states that they are no longer covering Track Days (and define them).

So I've been on the hunt for more insuance. Quotes have varied from £2,000 (Hondacare!) to £831 (BellDirect) but I can't find anyone yet who includes track day cover.

I've called up a track day / competition cover company to ask how much for one day and that's surprising too. For £2500 of cover it's £260 with £2,500 excess and for £12,000 cover it's £190 with £2,500 excess. So really I don't think this is an option either.

I've got 10 years NCD and been do about 10+ trackdays a year for the past 5 years (in TVR's as well as my current S2000) without incident. This all seems rather expensive to continue doing what I've previously been doing sensibly.

Can anyone give me any pointers on companies that include track day cover?

Thanks

Ben

Already called them - they include it *if* you have a TVR. Seemed like a pretty good personal service actually - was impressed with them on the phone.

Unfortunately Honda's are a no-go for tracks & them!

My S2000 is with Liverpool Victoria - and it is covered for track days at the moment. Don't know about the future though - Renewal in June

Want to buy a Griff?

Apparently Adrian Flux will cover some cars on track.

I stand corrected sir
Do they charge per day (AON is 25quid) or is it all in the price??

All in with my policy, I assume it's the same for everybody.

Ben

Ask on the Bookatrack forum, a number of Honda-driving track day goers there ...
