You have got to love Vauxhall Main Dealers

My windscreen wipers are past there best so as I was passing my local VXR dealer
I thought I may as well pop in and get a replacement pair.

After waiting the standard 20 mins in a queue I ask the vauxhall parts man for a price for replacement blades for the monaro.. Off he disappears and in 5 mins comes back with the parts numbers.. taps away on the computer and proceeds to tell me the prices.

Left hand wiper blade £15.95... hmmm I thought thats a little steep for one blade but okay and the drivers side.

Now I do know the drivers side blade is slightly longer than the passenger side but I almost burst out laughing when the parts man said, and this is for real, that will be £215.99 sir...

What, you must be kidding, its a mistake right.. No said the parts man with a straight face, thats the part. I said I only wanted the blade and this must be for the arm, the motor and for that price the whole wiring loom itself

No the man said thats the price just for the blade... Oh okay I said, I might just get a non vauxhall part then !!

So off to Halfords, picked up 2 inserts for £8.95 and now I am a happy lad..

Classic, I wonder how many poor soles just said at service time, just replace the wipers for me please and had a heart attack when the bill came in..

Gotta love our friendly vauxhall dealers!

The low mental ability of some people just stuns me nowadays! Im sure the general population is generally thicker now!

I especially like it when some oik in Halfrauds comes up to me when I go there and says "can I help you sir"... the urge to say say not fkin likley sonney is almost to much to hold back.

Can't praise my local Vauxhall dealer enough. Family firm,Mum,Dad and 3 sons.They "bend over backwards" to help and often don't charge labour for small jobs. Have been loyal to them for 10years now and would not let any other dealer near my car. Small town living has its benefits sometimes! Just agreed a price of £150 for a new 19 inch VXR wheel they had in stock. Not too bad me thinks.

This is easily explained as so:
Decimal point in the wrong place.
Engineer wearing a mask and holding a musket.
Had an armed friend with one of your dear relatives in a lock up.
The heel of his hob nailed boot was hovering directly over the head of a cute kitten.
He was willing to throw in a cure for Swine Flu with the blades.
The blades were made from Supa Dupa Moon rubber designed to last as long as the Pyramids.

Ah, sorry he was a main stealer......must read slower next time! Makes you wana over his desk.
