I had my power steering rack for reconditioning cause of a leakage at power steering services in London (it was a tip of the community). Only two months after reconditioning and only a few miles it has a new leakage. Bad work of this firm. I have a guarantee for their work, but I am interested if they have to pay also the cost for the second time mounting of the rack in my garage. As I live in Germany, the garages here are forced to pay these second mounting. Does british law means the same? Any knowledge about this?

Thanks, Klaus

The general 'rule' in the uk would mean you are not covered for any refitting costs.
You would probably be covered if you commissioned a garage to do everything for you eg remove parts, order parts, fit etc
But the garage would swallow the labour for a refit not Greenwich.

To avoid falling foul of the naming and shaming rules you can PM me or a few other members if you want recommendations as to where to send your rack.

Mine went to Greenwich quite a few times before I chose another supplier!!!

Possibly, but I'd still advise people to PM me first. I can remove and refit a rack in record time these days wink
