how do you get at the door hinge bolts

my passenger door needs a bit of ajustment....how do you get at the nuts that are inside..somewhere!!! do you have to take the wheel arch (inner) cover off ??? to expose them

I think you have to remove the A panel which is bonded and bolted at the top by the windscreen and is held at the bottom by a locating pin.

If the fit of the door relative to the body is OK, all you may need is a very simple adjustment of the latching pin in the door post.
Just loosen the nut holding the pin slightly and move it up/down or in/out to a position where it engages the door latch smoothly and securely then re-tighten the nut.

Additionally, isn't there some hinge adjustment from inside the door skin?

but i just turned the nut on the pin

no wot's happened is it looks like the door has dropped a bit cause the bottom of the door where it's hinged from is scrapping into the sill at the pivoting piont, causing an arc shaped paint scrape in the sill.....hope i'm making sense
