Yeah right. They are saying the original moon landing movie must have been taped over. No way would that happen.

Sorry if this a repost but it will add to the moon topics smile

I thought someone 'found' them again in an old McDonalds at a deserted US Airforce base in Australia? Apparently they are able to 'remaster' them to modern standards just in time for the anniversary of the moon landing.

It's easily done. I once taped over a VHS of "The Da Vinci Code" - not the ste Tom Hanks film you understand, but a tape of the actual Da Vinci code.

The Pope was furious, even though it was him what told me to record "You've Been Framed" with that Lisa Riley.

Honestly, he should label his tapes better, or knock out the little tab on the ones he wants to keep.

Not really my fault.

Did they? Can't believe they went to all that trouble to fake them, then tape over the results. wink

It's been found languishing under a desk. Well, not the full tape of the landing but, the 'moon walk one' is on the film.

Nonsense news report and a myth.

If the "original" tapes were taped over, what have we been watching for the past 40 years.

In fact, there were hundreds of tapes made all around the world. Most TV stations covered the mission and would have made their own recordings of the images. What IS true is that the BBC went over MOST of the tapes they made of THEIR broadcasts of the mission - including the studio footage of presenters James Burke and Patrick Moore.
