Damp interior Mk3 Golf

Hi there.
I poped out in my P-reg Golf last night to discover the driver's seat was quite damp & the footwell carpet soggy too.
It did the other day have a bonnet replaced & was left out on the driveway during a rainstorm the day after it was fitted.

I checked the sunroof, but all seems dry around there & the headlining.

Any ideas?

Usual stuff really, door seals if someone has tried to prize one open at any point, membranes behind door cards, leaves in the scuttle...

If bonnet was off I'm guessing water in through engine compartment via the air inlets. There is a drain hole I believe that can get clogged up - happened on my Passat.
