Hi, Can anybody suggest any firms that are good for insuring classic Landrovers. I've been on tinternet all morning & I'm quite bored with it now & no nearer to having insurance than when I started. I know P*te B*st are fairly cheap but I refuse to use them, so any others? Thanks.

Thank you both, I did try your suggestions. Sureterm wouldn't actually give me a figure & would only say that their quote was hundreds more than my cheapest quote.

It's amazing how different my quotes have been, ranging from £640 for me only driving down to £139 with a twenty three year old female named driver.

I hate to admit it but I've gone with Peter Best, after swearing that I'd never use them again after one of their office staff was extremely rude to me a few yeas ago for no reason, at the above quote as they simply couldn't be beaten on price.

If youre not fussed about building a "no claims bonus" then Richardson Hosken are very good. My Series 1 is under £100 to insure fully comp on limited mileage.

Thanks Dan, I have already taken a policy with Peter Best because I was running out of time, but I have found & taken the contact details for Adrian Flux & I will definitely be in touch next July.

Thanks for your offer to help, Bob.

I use Adrian Flux but be careful as they have a habit of changing the conditions slightly after you've got a quote and bought the vehicle so they can add a few £ to the price. Footman James are pretty good for classics but they have got all arsey recently about off-road cover.
