I've seen this before - it's not exactly a military march, it's a tourist attraction, done for entertainment.

It's not surprising - it's an exaggeration of British drill. They've taken what they've seen from the occupation by Britain hundreds of years ago and played with it.

Surprised you've not seen the high leg thing though - head southwest a bit to Peru and you'll love the high kicks
