I heard a 360 had a small accident then burst into flames, anyone know about this?

That's true (although I'm not so sure about the "small" bit). The driver lost the back end under power and swiped a tree right where the fuel tank is. Driver and passenger were uninjured but the car didn't come out of it too well.

Likewise

Seemed to be burning ferrari free while I was there.

Though the rain would have helped dampen it down i'm sure smile

My wife and I went along late to this event, got there sometime after 2pm. Went in, headed straight for the Enzo, then onto the trackside to admire the nice motors racing around and suddenly there was a loud thwak followed by a BIG fire and lots of black smoke. eek

As said above, the chap appeared to lose it on the corner and hit a tree backwards, the two occupants got out the car pretty darn quick and seemed okay which is the main thing! The fire brigade (who were already on site) rushed over and put the fire out and then they hid the car way out of sight, nobody was allowed anywhere near it.

We had a fabulous day, really enjoyed it, sat in our own motor int he car park at around 4:30pm and saw the poor 360 being carried out, got a quick photo (just the front end), and as expected there wasn't a lot left. frown

Interesting insurance claim as the passenger was paying for the ride. I guess if it was for charity should be OK? Funny looking 360 in the article too! Glad both occupants were OK. Sad day for the owner who I guess was only doing something like this out of the goodness of his/her heart.
