For the last 5 years ive had great fun with my 996 and when i fancied a change i added a lovely Exige S to my driveway. Unfortunately the Exige met with an untimely death after 6 months, and ive been back driving the 911 but figured the time was right to change.

Last saturday i testdrove a gorgeous 996 GT3 RS and its sheer pace, grip and useability staggered me,but i couldnt justify the £60k price tag to myself right now, but suspect may get one in the not too distant future. I then popped up to see the chaps at Verdi and within minutes knew a 355 Berlinetta was for me! (Birdcage - loved the sound of the capristo u had fitted whilst i was there!)

It is going to be my daily driver whisking me to Mayfair everyday before most of london wakes up. Ive read with great interest for the last few months the various comments about the 355 on here and found them very helpful - so a big thank you to all. Im hoping its very low mileage and great condition mean that im going to have relatively few issues with it in my first year at least! Plus Karl said he'd look after me if anything came up.

Im picking it up next weekend and cant wait. Will probably bore some of you with pics and stupid questions in the coming months, so be warned ! woohoo

Awesome! Congratulations biggrin They're supposed to be great cars. As ever, I suspect half of the horror stories you've read (they exist for any car!) are untrue!

Very good choice that! Another very satisfied 355 driver here. They're awesome cars, or should I say moveable pieces of art!

Look after it, and it'll look after you.

Ha, might want to phrase it slightly better though! But they are stunning things, both to look at, and listen to as I'm sure you know.

It was the green one Verdi had for sale. If I recall it only had 6k on the clock lick
