Here's a source of new Cortina PS Racks
Discussion
Found this on the Tina forum:
https://sslrelay.com/buypartsby.co.uk/steering-rac...
It says 50 notes for an exchange core but I'm not going to lose sleep over my non-existant core.
Anyone know if one needs an extra pulley or can it run in the same plane as say alternator with one just using a longer belt?
I want to keep it as simple as possible?

Hi Tony,
Drop me a pm re the pulleys as I'd like to take them.
I gather your car uses the SDI pump with a modfied by TVR SDI pump bracket?
Blaine,
What year is your car and do you know from which car your rack came from?
I am still going for the tina MK5 rack as that it seems is what most PS wedges were fitted with.

Hi Phil, will dig out the pulleys and PM you later this week.
Mine is running a Discovery PS pump, same mounting but has a remote resevior, needed on mine due to position of the Supercharger, however I will shortly be removing this set up and fitting an electric PS pump off a Citroen Saxo in the nose cone, it's a nice compact unit that only needs power off one relay, it will give less parasitic loss than the belt driven pump (6hp apparantly) and make the chargers belt route much simpler.

Hi Tony,
That sounds good and the first time I've heard of the Saxo unit being used.
Always hear about the Corsa leccy steering rack.
Look forward to hearing from you later own.
Bad news re the Tina PS rack today.
They have no cores so are asking me to send mine in for a rebuild - difficult as I don't own one to send in
As and when keep me in mind to have first refusal on your existing rack when you changeover.

Hi Andy,
Is this the same company as listed here:
http://www.applegate.co.uk/company/01/04/636.htm
Just looks like they are a machine shop with no mention of PS racks.

Mine is off a celica... apparently?
You thinking Supra? It wasn't the Supra car, it was the name of the manufacturer.I was down your way yesterday (at the RAF base) but the day went a bit wonky or I'd have invited you to invite me out for a beer

Left the base at 7pm thinking it was about 100 miles to Portsmouth. Oh no. It's 170 miles to Portsmouth...

Would have been a bit awkward for a brewski anyhoo, thanks for inviting me to invite you should there have been time. Just got back from Cornwall, a great British holiday. Great big British rip off with hotels and great big British rain drops but I did get to see some big valves and stuff Wheatsone invented. Not quite strowger but electro mechanical switches either way. Linda was impressed......
OK, I did find some very reasonable hotels but many should be renamed the "Dick Turpin Retreat".

Ah. Garage had it serviced when it went south. The T or S word was mentioned and the grey matter went 1+1=7.

Wheatstone? Didn't he build that iron bridge at, er, Ironbridge...? Would have been a bit awkward for a brewski anyhoo, thanks for inviting me to invite you should there have been time. I stayed at another hotel in the Dick Turpin chain myself: having booked online they asked for my credit card when I checked in: not thinking, I handed it over and they promptly charged me twice for the same stay.
Nine pounds fifty for a breakfast that wouldn't sustain an anorexic church mouse... and housekeeping that barges in while you're sat on the pot with the door open so you can watch the TV news (a novelty for me as I still have no telly
).Ah well, perhaps next time for a jar: think I'll be back down there in a few weeks' time as the squaddies keep breaking things...
