Yes it is true, there isn't many manual SLK350's about. We had one for sale at our dealership about 12 months ago, it also had AMG body styling, we could of sold it 20 times over! A chap from London bought it & i drove it down. The manual gearbox & that engine go together very well driving

If you do want to sell it let me know thumbup

I notice you are in Yorkshire, which dealer do you use for servicing? smile

hi mate thanks for the reply

i took the car into merc benz of hull (lister group) and i could not complain at all.
allso given that i have been in the trade as a fitter and workshop supervisor for the last 20 years
i am a bit picky if you catch my drift.

thanks but no thanks for the offer i am to busy enjoying the car. stick it in 3rd on some of the local
country rds an its a hoot.

had it a year now it only had 6763 miles on it when i pickd it up. i paid £22900 for it from a local motor depo.the guys at merc said i should of paid more as they think motor depot didnt quite know
what they where selling .

cheers pete

Interesting, the vast majority of Mercedes are Auto boxes and I always thought that the trade disliked manual Mercs intensly and the trade prices reflected that.

When I tried to sell my manual SLK 350 I got the usual "oh dear a manul, sorry not interested" or "it's worth 800 less than than the auto".

The latter suited me best as when it was new the auto cost 2k and the manual was FOC!

The manual suited the car very well. The 7spd auto never felt happy when I test drove it.

Really depends on the model. The As, Bs and SLKs can get away with been manual but the bigger models can't. This is reflected in the trade prices.
