Hi Guys,

Is it just me ? or does everyone who owns a Diablo get oil escaping from various random places ?

I've had it coming out of :

a - rocker cover gaskets
b - the plate on the end of the engine (valve level) RHS
c - a bolt on the RHS of the block just above the manifold
d - sump gasket

It's just non-stop at the moment - I seem to get one leak fixed and another one arrives !

I've got another bloody leak now after 10 miles of having the last one fixed ... looks like it's coming out of the metal pipe that enters the sump area (right hand side, under the manifolds, attaches to the top of the sump area with a kind of diamond shaped end piece).

I'm thinking now that I have some sort of blocked breather system within the engine that is resulting in all of these leaks. If I do have such an issue does anyone have any tips, or has anyone ever created an aftermarket breather system on their Diablo to combat persistant oil leaks ? (ie. if pressure too high within, hence oil forces it's way out via weakest gasket / bolt etc.)

Other than current my oil issue, i've had a new cluth recently and 2 weeks after that a full gearbox rebuild + RWD SV conversion - This car is getting kind of expensive at the moment frown

On a happier note smile I had my wheels restored a few weeks ago - Pic below :

I was about to tell you to look for a blocked breather but you mentioned it in your text.

That's got to be your next port of call I'd have thought.

perhaps double check your breather system. Also, what is your oil pressure? - if it is really high, that would also do it.
If you oil pressure is too high - it may be the oil pressure relief valve piston in the pump stuck in the shut position.
If this is the case - it's an easy job to sort, I can email you an exploaded drawing of the oil pump if you need it.
