Well I have a AF-S VR 70-300 f/4.5-5.6G Nikkor lens and the Focus seems to have gone wrong.

The Auto focus sometimes seems to stick so it can't focus. When you put it into Manual focus it sort of slips on the focus ring (it has an internal focus lens)

Does anyone know where I can get it serviced? I'm in the Hertfordshire area.

Typically, the lens is only about 18months old and so still under warranty, but can I find the receipt anywhere??? can I bugger frown

www.fixationuk.com/Fixation/Repairs.html did a great job on my totally broken 17-55mm f2.8 after it threw itself off a filing cabinet.

ETA: Note that the focus ring on AF-S lenses continues to turn even if the end of the actual focus travel has been reached.

Hi Simpo,

Thanks for that. I'll give them a call first thing tomo. Typical, my girlfriend is doing a parachute jump on Saturday and I really wanted to use the lens frown

I can't help your original question but 2 comments.

1, are you the Delorian people keep spotting around the Welwyn area?
2, you should win an award for weirdest domain name ever biggrin

Hi Jon,

1. Might be me.... though I haven't been to Welwyn in the Delorean for a while. There are a few De's around the area.

2. I take it you mean www.airtoolporn.com lol! yeah just my little sideline, making polo shirts for the PH groups on here and some of my own designs
