the compound for wet tyres is incredibly soft, in addition to their tread pattern. Hand cut 888s are only half way there in terms of outright grip. Having raced on michelin wets, I can attest they offer almost as much grip as 888s in the dry!Nurburgsingh said:

2nd that. I had a set of wets on my elise and lapped pembrey in the rain within 1 second of my time on sp9000 road tyres in the dry.
