Do you get points if caught speeding abroad?
Discussion
Hi all...
Does anyone know what fines and penalties are imposed and how they vary in different countries?
I am considering the possibility of taking part in something like CannonBall Run or GumBall Rally, etc - which would undoubtedly lead to me being pulled for enthusiastic speeds. Given my previous track record, I don't want any more points (but won't be put off by the occasional affordable fine).
Your advice / knowledge appreciated. Cheers !

No you don't get points, you get bloody great fines & if you don't have the cash they can confiscate your car.
The dutch will post you a bill, I know someone who got one. The French & Belgi'es escort you to a cash machine. The Germans look at you very seriously & waste lots of time (but I got away without a fine). The Czech's ask for £12 & give you a receipt.
Hope that helps, I'd be rather cautious about french Autoroutes with an expensive car!.
