Just want to say a big thank you to Steve_T who out of his own goodwill popped over this evening to have a look at my poorly Cerb,

He brought over his laptop with diagnostics but my ecu which seems to be a MBE 4.5 ecu only has a 2 pin connection so we couldnt do any fault finding. However after checking over the rough running engine, we disconnected the offside throttle pot - no change. Disconnected the nearside throttle pot and voila...cars idling smoothly (albeit about 1100rpm). Took it out for a spin after he left and the car is transformed. wow its drving so smooth and beautifully....im in love biggrin

Tried to start it up again with the sensor disconnected and obviously it wouldnt fire, so therein lyes the problem. Just need new pots and work how to wire a diag. connection and set it up.

Steve, your a top bloke and im really grateful for your time and knowledge, you've put an end to weeks of misery!! Really is club spirit at its best. Thank you

Don't worry about it mate not a big deal, just glad you got a result. It seems odd to me that it won't fire with one pot disconnected though, I will try to find out why that might be.
