I knew that being an old fart would come in usefull for more than just cheaper insurance (I'm 33)...

On Radio 4's "Today" programme they are running a "competition" whereby you can go to their website and suggest a new law that you would like passed and at the end of the year they will select one and submit it as a bill to parliament.

Seriously!

So - if you can think of something "sensible" that you would like to pass a law on then this is your chance...

The URL is :

www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/today/index.shtml?link

(No idea how to make the link clickable so you'll just have to cut and paste the link into your browser I guess.)

It also just happens that they're running a poll on there about speeding cameras too...

I just suggested

"How about outlawing lentil eating lefties from campaigning for every sad no hope cause on the planet (and demanding tax payers money to do it).

The Nanny attitude of this country has gone far too far"
